Broker Assistant

Downes O’Neill is seeking ambitious individuals looking to work for an innovative growth company in an entry level position.  We are a full-service brokerage firm that specializes in price risk management for the agricultural sector with clients ranging from individual farmers to Fortune 500 companies.

This position involves assisting a team of brokers in a variety of ways; including account set up, order entry, call overflow, initiate and respond to broker inquiries, and preparation of marketing materials for new and prospective clients. This position will be integral in building relationships by offering exceptional customer service.  Broker assistants will be encouraged to learn the industry and explore becoming brokers and establish their own client base.

The successful candidate will preferably have a four-year college degree and display strong sales skills. Some experience or knowledge of the agricultural sector or an understanding of derivative markets and financial instruments is ideal.  This high energy, self-motivated individual will also have excellent writing/analytical skill as well as computer proficiency.
